The Farm Feudo Arone it is located in Sciacca, in the districts Ragana and Raganella, it covers an area of about 70 hectares and is mainly cultivated with olive groves and wine grapes.

Other secondary crops are durum wheat, while for irrigated land mixed orchards and thunder-type almonds.

The farm in the 2000s has undergone the choices of the market and the agricultural community policy, planting prestigious French grapes, which were not suitable for our temperatures; today the choice has been to convert the entire company back to native varieties, in order to produce and promote our territory and its exclusive fruits.

Origin of the name

The current farm covers about 70,000 square meters, consists of four distinct plots of land, some of which were once part of a large fiefdom, belonging to the families Imbornone Arone di Bertolino, with last the great-grandfather of the current owner Imbornone Arone Salvatore, who had five daughters, a Giuseppa, married the Cav. Ignazio Messina and was the grandmother of the current owner;

The farm in one of the two plots of land located in the district of Ragana, has a rural building entirely of nineteenth-century horseshoe, partially used as summer residence of the owner, and most of the remaining rooms in a private cellar for production of bulk wine and storage in oak barrels of the must to be marketed.

After the discovery inside the building of the district Ragana, of a stamp bearing the words “Imbornone Arone Salvatore – Fattorie Vini Ragana – Sciacca” the decision to propose the name of “Feudo Arone” to the current company in order to create a link and a continuity with the past, in the memory of the family, which with the same passion and dedication handed down from generation to generation, has always stood out over time for the production of grapes and quality oil.
